We have a concurrent focus on strong project management and co-ordinated planning. This focus is the foundation of M & M Rail Services’ success and helps us to succeed where others fail. Whether a tunnel, bridge, viaduct or embankment scheme, we pride ourselves in providing engineering solutions combined with excellence and pro-active delivery.
Flexibility is another of our strengths; providing Network Rail and all our clients with a 365 day, 24 hour emergency call out service.
The company has developed and implemented an Integrated Management System which ensures that we can meet our client’s requirements on time, every time, from the initial design stage through to project completion.
Our system, which meets the requirements of both ISO 9001: 2000 and link up’s core module, holds accredited certification from BSi and is based on an approach which ensures all areas of the company's infrastructure are addressed.
Our growing understanding and appreciation of our Management System has led the company to embrace a philosophy of continuous business improvement. This was further underpinned during 2006 by the development and implementation of an integrated process based electronic management system, which is available to all staff through the company's document control procedure.
Our Management System is designed to offer flexibility in our approach to the particular type of work being undertaken on each specific project. This is achieved through comprehensive continually updated Project Quality and Environmental Plans which form the operational base for each scheme.
Our aim is to be one of the UK's leading project management and services companies by bringing added value to our clients, investing in our people and the communities we work with.

A health and safety discipline is fundamental to our culture and runs through everything we do. Safe delivery is an important part of the M & M Rail Services’ promise. But safe delivery goes beyond health and safety concerns. Working on customers’ valuable assets, we have to take responsibility for their investment, treating our customers’ risk and reputation as our own In the delivery phase, we offer a complete engineering, procurement and construction solutions across all industrial sectors.
By combining these services with installation and commissioning, we provide an integrated service which ensures that each facility is handed over to the client on time and to budget ensuring quality standards are met.
M & M Rail Services’ has a large workforce that is not only multiskilled in terms of the type of manual activities they can undertake, but also in the training and certifications that enable them to apply these skills in the railway environment.
As a responsible employer, the safety of our employees is paramount, as is that of our Clients, fellow contractors, subcontractors and third parties. Each gang has a fully qualified first aider amongst them and safety is a significant element of our training portfolio.
All of our operatives and most of the staff hold a Personal Track Safety Certificate and most of our operatives also hold at least one further railway competency such as Controller of Site Safety (COSS), Points Operator, Engineering Supervisors, Handsignalman, Site Warden
or Lookout
This affords M & M Rail Services far greater flexibility on site to deal with unforeseen events
